We Did It!

We finally did it!!!
Achieved what we started out to do!!!!
Organized a mini show,
and to get as much donations as we can!

Have to thanks Sha for backing the initial idea, and to go through the whole thing with me,
Tham who asked loads of questions about the whole event, and of coz, performed!
Yi, Ni, Teddy, LiSha, Zhen Pei, Yee Wen, Char, Disney, Tim, the Youths who agreed to perform,
My parents especially, for being so Supportive,
Sis who gave me so much encouragement,
Joy and A. Cindy who baked and made fantastic cupcakes, cookies and pudding!
Church members for giving so many positive response,
My friends and family who attended the event,
Henry and Joanne who took loads of pics for us,
Everyone who helped in any kind of way,
Pusat Jagaan Orang Kurang Upaya Si Putih's supervisor, Mrs Rajes who provided so much info,
Each and everyone who donated to the funds!! You...you...you...you...you!!!
And not forgetting,
our Mighty LORD, who was, is and always be there for us, to make things right.
Lord, thank you for making this happen to me...

This whole thing started out with a small dream,
a dream almost impossible to happen....
A dream to raise funds solely by asking people to watch performances.
The dream was shared, agreed,
Shared to more, more responses...
Positive and negative, we went on,
looking for performers,
not easy, but its a really fun process...
Date, time and venue was set, It's really happening!!!!
Practicing for the performances,
the best thing that happened throughout the whole event...
Spreading the word out,
not easy as well, not many supports art and charity at the same time...

The whole event began like a dream,
really can't believe it is really happening...
Not many turned up, but the initial target was there...
Seeing people putting money inside the blue donation box,
it felt real good.... At least we've got some money inside!!!
We were the 1st performance, did everything we rehearsed tons of times...
The crowd seemed to enjoy it.
Performance after performance,
everyone was really quiet,
but they seemed to be concentrating very hard on the performances.
At least its better than making noise, right?
Intermission, everyone happily bought the food we prepared,
sat down and chatted delightfully...
I have nothing to worry about now....
Some mic probs for the next performance,
but Disney sang beautifully....
We're the next in line again!
And we went up and had loads of fun....

Though not everything went on smoothly,
Though we can't call it a perfect/successful event,
we collected funds which can help improve lives...
I enjoyed the whole process...
Waking up early in the morning...
Practicing whole day long...
Come back at night,
Jamming....
Talking to friends,
asking for opinions,
Making new friends,
promoting the event,
and even... DREAMING about the event...
I'm Lovin' it!!!! Haha....
Got to do everything I longed to do, there's nothing more that I can say....


And we went to pay a visit to the home.
Another dream come true...
Went shopping for groceries with a list in hand with Sha and Disney.
Spent the whole 2 hours grabbing things,
choosing and picking like what old man and aunties does...
calculating every penny....
Take this.... Grab that.... Which one should we buy???
Really have to salute all the aunties who goes shopping for groceries...

Finally got to know that its not easy to be an aunty... or at least try to be one.... XD
2 trolleys full... For the 1st time in my whole tinny whinny life,
I actually bought THIS MUCH AMOUNT OF GROCERIES!!!!
And EVERYTHING IS SO FREAKING DAMN EXPENSIVE!!!!!
Once again... *TABIK AUNTIES!*

We finally reached the small little corner house after getting lost in the middle of nowhere...
Mrs Rajes is really a nice women with a really big heart.
Can't believe I actually got to see her in person!!
There were various kinds of kids there
Down Syndrome, Autism, cerebral palsy, mental problems, Learning Disorders...
Mrs Rajes sat there and talked about each and everyone of the children she has....
We went snooping around the house, touching this, touching that...
And she continued explaining everything that we see....
Most of the children have the inability to speak except for one of two...
Some are able to help in chores,
some juz sits there.... smiling the whole time, not talking or doing anything else...
They are all really cute and beautiful children...
Perfect in God's eyes.....
Everyone is born with their own uniqueness....
You and I the same....

Glad that we got to visit the centre and to know more about the children.
Lets just hope that the children will live better with a lil' help from all of us.
Shall return someday to have another visit sometime....
I'm CONTENTED and HAPPY!!! =)

Stand Out Mini Charity Concert

Hey guys, juz wanna share about a little event I'm doing now...
I have this desire to do something which combines the two things I love,
Music and aiding...
And I am about to make it happen...

This event is called Stand Out! Mini Charity Concert
Which means that we want people to stand out and give to others,
Stand Out to make a change in the lives of others...
To stand out for those who needs a hand,
for people to stand out and make an effort to aid the souls out there who are less fortunate,
to allow people to stand out it showing their talents,
and also to stand out in making a change in our own lives by sharing a portion of them with others.

I don't have ambitious target, juz a small amount from everyone will do.
Coz in my mind, a little strength from everyone can really move mountains,
Little small effort from everyone can change the world....
All I want it for people to chirp in small amounts cheerfully....
To know that every cent they are giving will help a person have another hope in life...

A few performance will be lined out for everyone to watch,
though they might not be the best ever performance you will see,
but at least you can see their efforts....
A sign of appreciation for your cheerfulness...
They are also need your support to give them courage to get on stage again...

We just want to help people,
and hopefully you do too.

Do join us on the 27th Aug, this Sat, 4.30pm-6.00pm, at Seremban Church of Christ.
I want to make it straight here that it is not a church event, and am not trying to change your religion, it is only the church premise we are using to make the small desire of mine happen.
Its something personal, so don't hesitate to come.

p/s: A little boy broke his piggy bank just to give every penny he had to help others even before the day of the event. I am so touched by his big heart and also the innocence he had with him. Thank you so much, Tim, you gave me the strength to move on. Also to the Lord who created someone as kind as him, You are the Sole, Mighty and Powerful... THANK YOU!!!

Hadn't stepped into this place for ages. Just stopped by to leave a few words...
Here's a few things that I wanna feel thankful and show gratitude for:
1. A blasting presentation which made me feel that it's unbelievable
Although the results are vague, the applause and cheers seemed real.
2. One of the most wonderful day among all the years, although it was quite a quiet one, it was the most contented one I have ever had. Thanks for the wishes and the messages everyone. And also my darls.... hehe...A new soul was born on the same day, how lucky was I... (Big beam on my face XD)
3. Awkward weekend of a big confusion.. Yet memorable one. Dada, mama and SP sis... Without you guys, what will I be. Am very thankful for you guys juz being around.
4. Recognition, to those who approve of my abilities and action, I thank you all for the confidence and chance you guys gave. Also for the trust and care. Appreciate it very much.
5. KJ, for the CD which was really really awesome.
6. My mates for the musical afternoon, was sortta hoping that we could seize the moment and juz let time drag a lil' longer... It's never gonna be enough for us.. Thanks for making it happen... YC & Cat

Haha... English for this one.
My Eng language is getting bad to worst.
Words starts leaving my brain.
I'm serious!
Nowadays, even simple words like 'potential buyers' and 'communication'
dun even cross into my mind.
It should be really in a retarded state by now, I suppose.
And Eng mid-term is blasting towards me, full speed.
Better brush it up so that I may survive the explosion.. XD

Here are somethings that I always thought:

1. I always thought that I am tall. Not just tall tall, but long tall. Means that i really really think myself as a tall person. Someone long enough to look at people where the seem rather tiny to me. And boy, am I wrong. Just the other day, when we were off to the lake, playing line-up in sequence, I knew that I am not the tallest among them, as there's 1 or 2 who have unquestionably long legs, so I thought, oh well, I am the 3rd tallest, who cares~ And it turns out... I almost ended up standing in the middle.... =_=||| DAMN! And I thought I am tall.... Better change my 'explicit positive attitude' towards myself and start calling myself shorty. Or in another way, jumping and being in hope of getting slightly taller by doing so might do the trick.. Lolz...

2. Always thought that lil' kids nowadays are monstrous. And by that, I meant that they are NOT AS CUTE AS THE KIDS WERE BEFORE. Boy, am I dead wrong. Yesterday, while I was alone sitting at the corner, packing up a huge pile of clothes, ,this two adorable lil' boys came along and started digging into the mountain of clothes. When I was ready to ask them to stop playing and get back to place, they started pulling clothes and accessories from the 'mountain' and started folding them, and passed them to me when they are done... Lolz... They are just 5, and they know what does it mean by being helpful. So freaking damn CUTE!! As they continued to dig for more clothes that they know how to fold, their mouths were mumbling something like:" I wanna help..." The other was like"Hey, I know how to fold this..." and continued their jobs. Ahhh... And when I say a BIG thank you to them each and everytime they pass a folded clothes to me, the BIG silly grin shown on their face were priceless... So sweet of them to help. They'll definitely be great people when they grow up. Bless them.... Too bad I didn't get their names, and numbers.. XD Hadn't even get the chance to give them a candy... Haiz... May there be another chance then.

3. Always thought that Pluck: Musical Arson would be funny and enjoyable. And IT WAS. They were awesome on stage!!! Hilarious, wonderful, splendid, amazing, talented, talented, talented.... (limited adjectives to describe them) All in all, their performance were superb! Really glad to meet the 'talented idiots'~ hahah...

Haha.. That's all for the random section. Having steamed hot rice fever now... Toodles!

Finished my final presentation of this sem finally..
Juz a blink of the eye and here I am, in my 2nd sem in this so called rural place.
My 1st presentation of this sem is ECS where I talked about TBs.
And then there is management, one of the group which I enjoyed working with the most.
Follow on, is my English presentation, we presented about Penang.
There's the ECS drama and Sociology drama..
Both wonderful memories gathered this sem..
And to wrap things up, there's the journal review and social group presentation..
There I was, standing in front of everyone, crapping nonsense that everyone is struggling to understand... video taking experience which was sort of hilarious... soft applause given after each and everyone of us spoke...
Hadn't really realized that I had done so much until... Am starting to have some reluctance of letting this sem past on...
I don't have any special or extraordinary story to tell,
No wonderful experience to share,
and of coz, not exciting tale to brag about..
But there's one thing I'm sure of,
its that life still goes on no matter what happen...
even though it is full of simplicity...

Weekend

Nice nice weekend with momma and dada around.
Though all we did was juz touring around Ipoh,
and loitering in Ipoh Parade.
The excitements felt adventurous.
Enjoyed the time when we were eating together,
talking and teasing each other.
Enjoyed being bullied by all of them.
Seeing mum's and dad's smile makes me feel so happy.
Missed seeing them these two weeks and they came to me.
Hahaha.. I'm a blessed lil' gal!

Mum finally bought something she longed to have-- Daisies!!
Hope that they will grow as well as they are now!

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I last came here.
My holidays is gonna end dy.
Had done many things that I wanted these few weeks.
Many things happened too.
Happy and sad events,
but mostly jolly things...
What can be more happy than being with your family??haha...

Had played badminton with the guys,
Watched a show or two,
Ate a whole lot,
And met with almost everyone I wanted.
Life's like a dream,
But there are some nightmares too.
But lets just cut the nightmare part.

Had been back in Kampar since Tues.
Was back so early to attend our Chinese Orchestra music camp.
All the feelings came back as though I was still with CW band.
These few days was magical, unbelievable...
We played from day to night and night to day.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC! HEHE...
Just like old times....
It feels real great spending your day with the people who are like you,
will put in everything just to play the song well,
who work hard and strive to perfect each and every part of the song,
who are determined to play their part well so that they won't get scolded by the conductor,
and the best of all,
those who enjoys playing music just as much as you do... :)
Had been missing old times though,
when I was there with my dear violin and my fellow mates,
but now it's replaced by a new instrument and new friends,
it still feels GREAT!
Today will be the last day though,
am feeling a lil' heavy hearted now,
not being able to do it everyday.
But still, the memories will come along with me, right??
We had only been practicing two songs these few days,
Coz we're amateur players, (Just like new A-Band)
and playing the same song over and over again,
makes it stays in you the whole time...
Up until now, I can still hear the melody:"阿里山的姑娘..." all the time,
Even during my sleep... (I'm serious, I hear it everywhere!!!)
And not only me, sis does the same too! hahaha...


Oh ya, wanna do a small advertisement here.

At bliss

Last weekend was fantastic. Did not go back to my hometown this week, as I had just went back last week. Am really relaxed and had a wonderful weekend here in Kampar as all the assignments and test had been completed. What a wonderful world... Am very glad to get to sleep whenever I want, eat whenever I want and no alarm clock waking me up early in the morning rushing to class... This weekend is just-- NICE~

Had morning class on Friday and got back by noon. Splendid afternoon. Watched shows, listening to songs... Ignoring everything that happened the last few days. There's just mua in the quiet room. Am getting use of the quietness.

On Sat, sleep until I woke up by myself. More music, more relaxation. Dada and mama came here to see us. Went Ipoh Parade that day. Ate tauge chicken and sa hor fun. Nice~ Am very happy to be with my old folks. Ever since I've been in UTAR, I realize that being with them is the happiest moment ever. I can be myself, the genuine and original Shyuan that I've always was. No limits, no boundaries, no restrictions... Just the true old me. Dada and Mama treated us like we were princesses, no scolding (Complaints got la), no yelling... They are just so happy to see us. Guess they miss us REALLY much. ^^ Though we had really great time, still am feeling guilty that we had spent so much of their money in just 1 day.... Sorry ya~

The Most Famous in Town! Specialised in Chicken Bean Sprouts and Kuetiau..XD Can't stop laughing when we saw this sign board.... This is the most famous in town, tauge Chicken and hor fun. Jalan Teatre, Ipoh have plenty of stalls for you to choose from.

Sunday, had breakfast with dada and mama at the market. It has been long since I last ate at a market. The hawkers yelling, the nice coffee aroma, the chattering of the people, the stench smell.... It feels nice to blend into the crowd. Did some grocery shopping and bought watermelon for my fellow housemates. Cubed the watermelon and distributed to all of them. The contentment of giving truly defeats the feeling of receiving. Knowing that people actually ate what you offered to them really feels great as I was so scared that they won't eat the watermelon. Had a great relieve when they told me that the watermelon was sweet.... Damn happy wei! Dada and mama went back after lim tehing... Heavy-heartedly. But no worries, will be seeing them again the next weekend. kekeke.... Spend a quiet afternoon with Kaycee Miller and Max plus Stagga. Spend a night at a friend's, tasted her homemade spagetti... Yums... And chit chatted for I dunno how long...

Homemade spagetti... Loads of sausages... It taste ok...

What a great weekend I have.... What a great great weekend... Dada, mama, I LOVE YOU!!!

hoping that they can do something for their late siblings, relatives, friends...

Earth hour '10

Went back again this week...
It's really really nice getting to spend time at home with mum.
Thought the only thing we did was watching TV,
Still, it's the most relaxing moment of the week.
Went for K session with Soon and YC.
Boy, are they good singers..
YC, you senyap-senyap tak mau cakap ah, sekali nyanyi menjadi harimau ah..
haha....
Had had a really really great time!
Oh ya, that day must be our lucky day,

Went 'visit' the vineyard in S'ban the same day.
It's really amusing seeing the whole hill covered with vines..

Was really enthusiastic in joining the whole world to observe that moment..
I even asked many many others to join in...
Too bad I was out that hour,
Didnt get to join the whole world and live in darkness for an hour.. T.T
This year is really disappointing though,
not many people observed the program.
Was in town during that particular hour,
Damn disappointing...
But still found some comfort when KFC, The store and the whole road of the shops near Ruby was in darkness...

Heh! The Tesco staff in S'ban are really a pain.
Wonder why nowadays I always bump into impatient staffs..
I mean, they show faces when I ask them about some item.
Did I do wrong by just asking for info??
Or my appearance have something to do with it?
Or is it that I asked to much that annoys them?
Still don't get it!
Stupid la, buy things also muz make myself feel so guilty.
Buy a thing also muz see the staffs' faces.. cham...
Met some really impatient workers earlier on today.
You see, mistakes in the placing of price tags often happen there.
(Met this kind of scenario n times dy)
so today, we met something similar again.
And we truly thought its their careless mistakes again,
and we went telling them about that.
They explain that there's no such thing but we'll have bonus of ** points for buying the item.
But we saw something different.
So we told them again...
But then, the staffs were like:
" mana? mana? Kamu tunjuk saya la."
So I went showing them what I saw,
and it ended up that we saw them wrong price tag...
Same item, same amout, but different packing,
we overlooked the picture on the notice.
=_=||| Duh!!!
When we found it out, he was like:
" Kamu pergi beritahu ayah kau la, cakap dengan dia pun tak percaya...."
As if blaming us that this is all our mistakes..
How should we know? the same item with different packing is different price??
What la... It didn't state properly what type of packing isit wor...
What la... So rude!!!!
We are customers ma, explain a bit also cannot meh?
Haiz, services these days...
Going from bad to worst.
It's so damn hard to see those in the service industry smiling when they see you..
I mean, they practically extinct dy!
Ish! if you don't like your job, find another one la!

Nowadays, I sincerely belief that some gals are more handsome and cuter than boys.

Maybe it's because until now in UTAR,
I find many cute, handsome gals,
but not so much of cute guys..

Did Active Imagination yesterday.
It's a type of therapy used in Psychology.
Was asked to close our eyes, listen to soothing music..
and the therapist will slowly take us into our sub-concious mind to explore.
Then in the end, we were asked to draw what we see
and she will help interpret what our sub-concious mind is telling us.
It was kinda fun listening to the interpretations,
especially when she's talking about other people's 1.
So glad to hear about some of the interpretation of my own drawing..
tee hee!!! hahahahaha..

The night UTAR is also very beautiful.

Er.. The week didn't really went AS well as I expected..
I terjatuh again from my bike...
2 weeks 2 times..lolz..
How neat was that..
There's only a few scratches the last time,
but this time, it's a lil' more serious...
I crashed when I was going downhill and were trying to cross a bum.
Well, the bums there was extra 'gao' according to my seniors..
I was going downhill, so it naturally catches it's own velocity without me paddling..
and there was the bum,
lying comfortably on the road...
waiting to booby trap me..
And yes, stupid old me fell straight into it.
I hit the front breaks, trying to slow down to cross the freaking bum..
That's when the "BAM!" sound came into the picture.
Damn! I was lying on my bike in the middle of the road before I knew it.
Hands were scratched here and there...
Knowing that my poor leg, sure kena already...
My bike's basket was crashed like a milo tin that had been ran by a truck...
Oh ya, there's also red substances danggling above my lips and chin...
It was... pretty bloody, to tell the truth..
Sis and her friends whom were far ahead suddenly found out that I was missing..
They came back for me!! (Oh, I saw light!)
I was so lucky that there's a sports centre nearby who has a 1st aid kit.
The workers there were so kind and friendly enough to help me clean my wounds..
Haha.. Thanks ya!!
Went straight to dinner after all that, with the blood stain everywhere... lolz..
(I dun wan to spoil people's plan of having dinner ma..)
I still think the whole thing was quite funny though...
It's like I'm cursed to fall every week of my life in UTAR...
Lets see if the curse remains there for the next week la.. XD

Eh... Not going to describe how I look now.
(People say I look like Charlie Chaplin now.. Aiiks!)
It's really a small matter... despite the stupid wound on my face (small one la)
Was lucky enough to keep all my teeth,
and other parts of my body with me...
Just a few pieces of skin being torn off that's all.. hehe...
Oops, and my 'lauya' bike basket too!! ^^(Managed to get a new one)
Despite how disgusting I'm trying to describe the incident,
it was a least bit of pain for in all my injuries... hehe...

Clapping and cheering only for those they know,

Hehe, yesterday said won't be posting any sooner but today I post again... lolz...

Erm, what I wanna say ah? oh ya, right.
Wanted to post this in Chinese, but found out that my Chinese is damn cacat...
haha... No choice, gotta use my broken English to tell the story lo.

Really had great fun today at PBC's Farewell Gathering.
Though its really a huge disappointment,
we still had fun.
Shocked to see how many people had came for this event.
it made me feel as if we are so awful that no one even bothers to say goodbye...
Sad~
Anyhow, it's our event and we had had to enjoy ourselves...
So... as usual, we PBC's do what we do best--'self-enjoy'(translate yourself)
hahaha....
Anywayz, we did make ourselves comfortable on the whole event:
We went through some lamie games,
Played like a 5 year olds,
Pissed off the game master,
Dine through the simple food they prepared,
Touched by Long's little message,
Laughed through the whole singing performance,
Rush out and took the stage,
Ignored the organizers,
Sang out hearts out,
and Danced till my shoes flew away (I meant it literally),
Zi high until we can't help ourselves,
Clapped till our hands rot,
Laugh till our mouths drop
And yet danced with our hearts desire....
It's damn FUN!
hahahahahah....
Had missed the times when all of us went crazy and did stupid things...
Though some of us might had only met a few times,
it did felt as if all of us are ONE.
Hadn't felt much when we were working together
but now, it's so sad to say goodbye....
And despite waving goodbye to the harmonic melodies of the ultimate CW Band,
plus the forever ongoing dragon's heir, PBC.
I had came to realized that we had to say goodbye to a special friend....
Who will be leaving soon...
What a day full of 'surprises'...

A Happy Day ( yesterday's events)

It had been a very pleasant and good day. Was kinda disappointed that I didn't go to church today as usual its because that we had to sent my sis back to PJ. Though was kinda sad that I did not go as I had been looking forward to go this week, I had enjoyed myself with the accompany of my family. Watched Hannah Montana again and it was totally hilarious as usual. And her songs are all very nice. Oh ya, I watched the trailer and TMO Angus,Thongs and Prefect Snogging. And can't wait for it to screen soon...hahah...This show is a must...

We went to JJ later. Dad gave us some $ to go shopping which we truly did. It was really memorable having four of us eating in KFC again which do not happen often. Was so happy that we get to eat peacefully and happily together. Had hoped that the moment won't pass but it did. I miss Fruit and Nutcase!!! Wanna to read it again!!! And Jean Ure Rocks!!! (for those of you who does not know who Jean Ure is, please visit her website. Click here) There's a few more new book out by her. Can't wait to put my hands on them...haha...Anyway, I saw many of my friends working and shopping there. Its kinda akward seeing your friends working while you go shopping as it kinda makes me somehow lazy seeing them working hard. haha....I'm on top of the world as I bought a pair of shoes I liked. We went back full-loaded. hahaha....

Later we went to KL to sent my sis bac. And guess what, dad took a wrong turn and we were kinda lost. He was getting kinda frustrated but he still managed to to find the way out. So after that, he took us to eat CRABS!!! OMG. It blew me away as the crabs were fantastic. This is our menu: Cheese crabs, 'gong bou' crabs, marmite 'pai guat', lala, 'mantao' and 'sheung tong yin choy'. An really sorry that I sisn't take any pictures to show as good things shouldn't be shown a lot. Though I thought our dinner was fantastic, dad says that there is another place who sells tastier crabs which is more costly. He said that we have to try it. Can't wait to have another crab feast again!!!haha....

After sending my sis back, mum and dad said something that almost made me cry. They had been telling me this but I just don't like to think about it. ( Its not something bad but is something which everyone must go through in life） I still don't want to think about it and wants to live the most out of my life. And I'm living my life now. Anyway, I slept through the whole journey back home.

I made a call to my dear and we chat for almost an hour. Can you believe that. Once we talk, there's no turning back..haha....Am happy to talk to her again. It had been quite awhile since we last talked.hhaha...So its ok to chat for so long...

I need to go to Kem Belajar tomorrow. Still not yet pack my luggague. Haiz...have to stay away from home for a few more days. And I will only come back on Christmas Eve. There goes my 3 days holidays again....haha....GTG now, need to pack and sleep!!!
